Terms of service
Last updated October 2026. HammerSnake Paints LLC, Hershey, Pennsylvania.
What these terms cover
These terms apply when you ask HammerSnake Paints LLC to look at, estimate, or do painting work at your property. By accepting a written estimate from us, or letting our crew start work, you agree to them.
Every job is different, so your written estimate is the most important document. If anything in the estimate conflicts with these terms, the estimate wins.
Estimates
Estimates are free and in writing. They list the work included, the surfaces, the number of coats, and the price. Anything not listed is not included.
An estimate is valid for 30 days. Prices can change after that if paint costs or the scope of work change.
An estimate is not a final price until we have seen the job in person. If we find hidden damage, rot, or extra layers of old paint that change the work, we will stop and give you an updated price before doing anything extra.
Scheduling and access
We schedule jobs on a first-come basis once the estimate is approved and the deposit is paid. Weather affects exterior work; we may reschedule exterior days when surfaces are wet or temperatures are outside the paint maker's range.
You agree to give our crew access to the work areas, water, and electrical outlets during agreed work hours. Please remove small breakables and wall art before we start; we handle moving and covering furniture.
If we can't access the property on a scheduled day, we may charge a trip fee. Our normal work hours are Monday to Saturday, 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
Payment
A deposit is due before work begins, with the balance due when the job is finished and you've done a walkthrough with us. Larger jobs may be billed in stages. Payment terms for your specific job are on the estimate.
We accept cash, check, and electronic payment. Work remains our property in the sense that we may suspend work and withhold warranty service on accounts that stay unpaid.
Warranty
Our work comes with a two-year written workmanship warranty. If paint we applied peels, blisters, or fails because of our workmanship in that time, we come back and repair the area at no cost to you.
The warranty covers labor on the surfaces we painted. It does not cover normal wear and fading, damage from moisture coming through the structure, building movement, wood rot, vandalism, changes made by others, or surfaces we did not paint. The warranty is void if someone else paints over, repairs, or power washes our work.
What we are not responsible for
We are not responsible for pre-existing conditions: cracked or failing plaster, rotted wood, moisture damage, or old paint layers underneath. We will point these out before painting over them, but we don't repair structural problems as part of a painting job unless the estimate says so.
Homes built before 1978 may contain lead paint. We follow safe work practices to contain dust and chips, but we are not a lead abatement contractor and we do not remove lead hazards.
Color can look different on your walls than on a chip. We paint sample patches when asked, and we recommend you approve a sample before we paint full rooms. Once a full surface is painted in an approved color, we cannot repaint it free of charge because you changed your mind.
Cancellation
You can cancel a scheduled job any time before we start. If materials have already been ordered or tinted for you, you'll be responsible for those costs.
If work has started, you pay for the work completed and any materials used up to the cancellation date.
