Interior Painting in Hershey & Central PA
Most of what makes an interior paint job look good happens before the lid comes off the can.

How we handle interior painting
We patch nail holes and cracks, sand glossy trim so new paint grips, caulk gaps where trim meets wall, and spot prime anything we repaired. Then we cut in by hand and roll two finish coats.
A lot of homes around Hershey and Harrisburg have plaster walls from the 1920s through the 1950s. Plaster takes paint well but cracks along old lath lines, so we use setting compound for those repairs instead of lightweight spackle, which tends to shrink and show through.
We use Sherwin-Williams and Benjamin Moore paint lines. For bedrooms and living rooms that usually means a matte or eggshell finish. For kitchens, baths and trim we go to satin or semi-gloss so the surface can be wiped down.

Interior Painting questions
How much does it cost to paint a room in Hershey, PA?
The price of painting a room depends on its size, ceiling height, how much repair the walls need, and whether trim and ceilings are included. We give a free written estimate after seeing the room, with the price broken out by room so you can choose what to include.
How long does it take to paint the inside of a house?
A single bedroom usually takes one day. A full interior of an average Central PA home usually takes three to seven working days, depending on size, repairs and how many colors are involved. We give you a schedule with the estimate.
Do I need to move my furniture before you paint?
No. We move furniture to the center of the room and cover it. We ask that you take small breakables, wall art and personal items off shelves and walls before we arrive.
Can you paint over plaster walls?
Yes. Plaster is a good painting surface. We repair cracks with setting compound, prime the patches, and then paint. If the plaster has loose areas, we tell you before we start.
What paint finish should I use for walls?
Matte or eggshell works for most living spaces and hides small wall imperfections. Satin is better for kitchens, bathrooms, hallways and kids' rooms because it cleans more easily. Trim and doors usually look best in semi-gloss.
